in case you missed it on Instagram, my friend Charlotte and I decided it would be a fun “little” project to make holiday cookie boxes for all of our friends in LA. what started as a casual friday morning idea turned into a weekend marathon featuring several pounds of butter, 32 eggs, a giant tub of Maldon sea salt and over 300 cookies that we scooped, chilled, baked, filled and boxed into cute little gift boxes.

it was certainly a bit of an undertaking but we had so much fun and I’m going to run you through our process because I think cookie boxes are such a fabulous homemade holiday gift and everyone should get on board!!!

below I’m going to share the recipes we used, the schedule we followed and the equipment/accessories we needed. we did a mixture of my recipes, other internet recipes and cookbook recipes, so I will of course provide links to everything. but there are a few recipes that I can’t share in full because they are from books and I don’t want to give out those authors’ hard work for free! (I’m sure you can find similar recipes for some of those online, though).
