summer salmon bowls š
plus the best tomato candle + upcoming travels
Hi and happy Wednesday! Hope youāre all having a great week so far. I feel like we have some catching up to do since I missed my Sunday newsletter (oops). I am officially getting back on schedule and I promise Iāll have extra recipes for you in the coming weeks to make up for it!!!
It feels like summer is officially in full swing over here so Iām working on tons of warm weather recipes (like this new salmon bowl that Iām sharing below) and honestly just trying to spend as much time outside as possible. A huge update is that I finally got tanning/lounge chairs for my patio, and it has truly been life-changing to lay out in the sun (with sun protection of COURSE) while I edit videos, read or listen to music.
Speaking of my home, I owe you lots of new house decor/setup content, which I am slowly working through (tbh I have like several hours of footage to edit lol). Planning to have all of that ready in the next week or so for my Instagram and TikTok, plus links to everything that Iāll share on here in case you need some inspo!
Before we get into todayās summer salmon bowl, letās doā¦.
WEDNESDAY WORDS
Iām deeply obsessed with everything Flamingo Estate makes and I just got my hands on their Heirloom Tomato hand soap + candle, which have an luxuriously fresh, clean, herbaceous scent that instantly transports me to summer. Side note: their *actual* estate, which is stunningly beautiful if you havenāt read about it yet, is on my side of town here in LA!
I donāt have a microwave in my new house, so Iāve been using this mini Our Place cookware duo nonstop when I need to melt down a little bit of butter, make a quick coffee syrup or just warm up a small amount of food. Highly recommend if you, too, are microwave-free (and especially if you live solo like me!)
Donāt be the girl with no hobbies. I love this, I feel this deeply, and I will say that all the most interesting women I know have hobbies/projects/interests :)
Are we all listening to Olivia Rodrigoās new record? Thoughts?! I love it more with each listen.
Iām starting to loosely plan a late September Europe trip (!!!) and need your recs. I definitely want to hit Italy, Greece and Amsterdam, and I just read this article about Athens that made me feel very inspired (my best friend was also there last year and raved about it). Iāve been to many of the major cities in Europe and would love to return to some of them, but if you have must-see spots to share with me, Iām all ears!
Onto todayās recipe! Weāre making a summer riff on my classic salmon bowl recipe with seasonal produce and an extra hit of sesame flavour. As always, this is a quick and easy dinner recipe, which is even more important in the summer because we have places to go (outside!!!) and people to see!
