hi!!! as usual I’m a bit late on sending out this newsletter but it’s been a bit of a crazy week. I hate saying “busy” because I know everyone is very busy and it’s basically meaningless now, but I’ve been getting ready to road trip back part of the way to Toronto with my best friend who’s been here in LA for the past 3 months. we’ve been trying to see all of our friends and go to all of our favourite spots since she’s leaving!!! on top of that, there’s been a lot going on with work (both this work and Stellar Eats) so it’s been a juggling act. but I’m slowly figuring out how to balance everything and it’s a work in progress! plus I had another little dinner party which I’ll share more details + recipes from soon (I promise faster than I’ve shared the butter party recipes lol) — it was an “aperitivo hour” and it was SO gorg. in the meantime, we’re off to Vegas for the weekend, a concert at Red Rocks in Colorado on sunday (!!!) and then I’m flying back to Toronto to see family and friends for a couple weeks after that.

today’s recipe is one that I’ve been DYING to share with you all for the past couple of weeks. as you may know, I hosted a butter-themed dinner party for my birthday (of course you know since I’ve been talking about it nonstop) and I made a brand new cake recipe for the party that was a huge hit. I’m not generally a big cake girl (I’d usually rather have a chocolate chip cookie) but this cake REALLY changed my opinion — it’s perfectly sweet with a divine lemon-y vibe and a soft but slightly dense texture that is heavenly. the olive oil also adds a subtle flavour that balances out the sweetness of the cake and frosting.

but first thing’s first — let’s get into our weekly list of things I’ve been reading/loving/thinking about lately!

WEDNESDAY WORDS

(except it’s Friday but we’re gonna pretend it’s not)

  1. things you can do this weekend instead of being on your phone — obviously we are all addicted to our phones, myself included.
